I had the Yamaha Cs15d for something like 40 euros. It was lying vertically on a music room that was not in use anymore.
I really enjoy this synth specially used with a Kenton prosolo cv/midi convertor.I am a bit sad some of the presets are not working anymore.
Here are two tracks made with a Cs15d (the synth section mainly, multitracking loop recording effect and sounds manipulation added in the DAW, drums are from the Zoom Mrt3) :
I was trying to create a cs15d like VST with synthedit.
I wanted to share it. There is nothing special about the sound; it s all good old fashion synthedit modules.
I did not recreate the presets section of the synth but I have added some functions to the synth section :
• The oscillator section is a mix of two oscillators one with a saw shape and one with a square
shape. The square shape oscillator can be detuned.
• The Lfo can be synced to the host program.
• The synthesizer has a polyphonic mode.
• The filter frequency can be tracked by the keyboard.
I tried to recreate the kind of brilliance filter of this synth with a addition of a highpass filter in parallel to the output signal of the synth.
You can download the synth here (there is a standalone version made with VST host, the dll file, and a shitty pdf manual) :
